Craving some seriously delish brunch to start your day off right? Head to Blu Jam over on Melrose, home of the wildly creative, yet traditional brunch fare (and lunch/dinner which we didn’t get a chance to try). We had the Crunchy French Toast with Vanilla bean sauce — French Toast coated with corn flakes, topped with strawberries and blueberries, served with a side of their special vanilla bean sauce. …Maple Syrup who? We also had the flavorful Poached Eggs over nest of Sauteed Vegetables, as well as a burrata, roasted tomato, & pesto panini. The star of the show was definitely the Crunchy French Toast. It was quite the standard brunch fare with a twist. Warning: The wait is long, and I don’t think they take reservations. The only plus side to the wait: having time to peruse the vintage and not-so-vintage stores in the area meanwhile!
